I Told You So!

The news came out as headline today confirming that there was an earthquake yesterday!



The earthquake was graded 5.1 and it happened in the HeBei province, north west of Jinan, Shandong (where I am), at 11:56pm and it was felt in Jinan at about 12noon (4 min later!)

You see, I was right! When I showed the news to all the people who laughed at me about what I felt at 12 noon yesterday and thought that I was mad, or ill, they just kept quiet and gave me the yes-do-you-want-an-award-for-that treatment.

Grrrrr...............

This is once again another example of the Galileo Galilei dilenma: Don't tell them the truth, unless you want to be the target of skepticism.



Anyway, I saw this lady making grasshoppers using some kind of leaves after work. They were beautiful.



There were butterflies, as well. Too bad I was rushing for my bus to go home, or else I would have bought one from her. Any of you know how to make one?

I met up with my colleagues for dinner at this restaurant that's located right in the building where I stay.



They ordered this Chicken dish, fried with Green Pepper and Spring Onion, which was very nice. I kept forgetting to tell you how nice chicken is in Shandong. I can even say it's 10 times better than those in Peninsula Malaysia. I swear it has everything to do with how they rear them. The meat texture is just so AUTHENTIC, ok? What can I say? It feels like chicken!



It's Jing Jiang Rou Si again - Beijing Sauce with Shredded Meat. Don't they look like shit to you?



What a new way of eating shit! So, the very next time you feel that there's too much shit in your life and you just don't know how to handle it, remember to wrap it in tofu and swallow it. It will taste a whole lot better. ha!



If you don't know this dish by now, it is obvious that you've not been following my blog! But I must admit this version of Fried Tomatoes with Eggs looked very disgusting.



Oh my, my colleagues do sometimes surprise me by ordering things like this: Bittergourd Fried with Nothing. Hmm.... I don't want to sound too picky, and I know, I should be health conscious, but it's just too bitter, ok?



After all the shit and bitter and freak, we had this RMB 4 watermelon.
Uououou.....Sweet like sugar. Slurpss... Something nice, finally.
