Met-an-Angel Day

Today I played sneaking again and joined the round of the wards in the tumour department.

And I have no regrets.

I was literally touched because I met an angel - the Chief Physician.

Dare I say, other than my parents and siblings, I've never met such a angelic person before in my entire life that's so loving, giving, patience, thoughtful, intelligent and endurance.

Her voice is like a beautiful piece of musical instrument, and she carries herself gently as if there's no weight.

She speaks with the most calming and cheerful manner that patients couldn't resist but to adore her. Even the most unhappy soul and stubborn sorrow can be melted with the touch of her hands.

I've never seen so many smiling patients in other rounds.

I really want to be like her.

This is what I had for lunch. I'm not sure what it's called in English, but my best shot of translation would be Wild Veggie. Not only do I like its colour, but it's aromatic. I kept thinking it's basil but it also looks something like Paku-Pakis:

Anyone knows?

Then it's shopping time in the local pasar in the afternoon.
I like veggie here because they are fat fat and cheap cheap.

蒜薹 - Garlic stem

Mountain East people love veggie more than meat so they sell/buy veggie in huge big bulk.

丝瓜-Chinese Okra or loofah

The loofahs here look a little different than the one we have in the South.

Then we found this purple looking corn. Uncle colleague's like so excited as if he's found gold. He told me its texture's a bit like glutinous rice when cooked.

Hmm... but I don't think it'll like it loh.

Not sure whether it's seasonal or what but the whole pasar is selling a lot of lotus.

My favourite veggie of all time is their red pepper! I like the vibrant red and it's very sweet. I fry it with everything! Best for Spanish Paela.

I asked this auntie to pose for me with her goose feather fan and she's so happy thinking she's going to appear in some cool and sexy magazine I work for. haha!

And this is Chinese Yam -山药, that I've mention before。I still think it's difficult to cook.

Uncle colleague bought some lotus leaves.

I was like: What are you going to do with them?
Uncle colleague: Make soup.
Confused Yeng: Can meh?
Uncle colleague: Me though got gray hair but still full of YANG and hot hot inside. Need to calm myself down abit.
Yeng: LOL!
