Exploring the Wards

My uncle colleage has got a professor look with his grayed hair. In TCM, having coloured hair (due to old age) and looked mature is very important. They regard OLD as being GENG - good.

But that kind of make me want to be a TCM doc that's not old and mature yet very GENG next time. I want to be the fun filled and YOUNG doc.

Anyway, so my uncle colleague gets respected everywhere he goes in the hospital. And since he's so nice, he brought me to the in-patient ward to learn more.

I had breakfast with the rest of the colleagues today. And... they EAT soy-bean soup and some steamed dough.

My god. So healthy meh? Something new to me. The soybean has no added sugar whatsoever, it's just the natural taste of bean. Not too bad though. Sure a healthy start for the day, I thought.

It's a busy ward. Today is 大查房 where chief physicians make the rounds of the wards. We attended the endocrinology round which was TOUGH because the chief physician kept asking "Can our classmate here from Malaysia explain to us as to why we use this and this herbs for this condition?"

Yo, so pressurising!
Got the whole weight of Malaysia on my shouders!

After the rounds, all the post-grads get busy writing medical reports concluding what's being discussed and what treatments are being used in the rounds.

There's only one word to describe the atmosphere: SOLEMN

Writing medical records are serious stuff. Can hear people get scolded all the time for being careless. I don't want to write medical records... so BORING and SCARY!

So I was there the whole day reading all the records and learnt so much!
Better than a library!

I kind of lost appetite after the visit to in-patient department
because I was OVER EXCITED
because I get a good confident boost that TCM really do work miracles.

Patients get recovered and sometimes almost instantly. You get to hear patients praise and smile at the chief physician of how they feel better after talking chinese herbs compared to WM.

This is what someone who's over excited eat for dinner: Mountain East BAO.

Makes happy soup with big dates to boost liver function.

And... FATTY orange cheese cake to make me feel high for the rest of the night.
He he he

Must get some more cake!

Then I chatted with my family till late night.
Mum is cute, still pretty much a kid at heart.
They say there's a kid inside every man, gee, I say same to women.

There there is my Dr Bro. He went and bloody slept on CUTE and SWEET sister like me. Can see his stomach raises and drops the whole night. So bizzare! That's internet for you.
