Lots-of-Activity Day

I was browsing all the snapshots for the day and was surprised to find that I did so many things today. Wow, didn't know my energy levels have such potential!

Gosh, I just love being a full-time student again!

We have to attend lectures on weekends. And today's ElectroCardioGram (ECG) lecture is conducted by a local young lecturer/teacher. He's quite nice though I didn't like him throwing back annoying/stupid/down grading/narrow-minded questions at me when I ask him questions about reading ECG. For instance:

Me: Teacher, could you explain why this ECG look XXX?
Teacher: Why do you need to know? Just master those that I taught you.
Me: *Showing unsatisfactory expression*
Teacher: What use is it to know so much?
Me: ... *Want to secretly kill him*

How so chinese!

Anyhow, no blog is complete without some nice picture-whoring photos! And this is my junior from Malaysia. She's up for biding from RMB 400. Closing date end of Oct 2006. *Punk intended and YES she reads my blog*

Since it's not so NICE to NOT JOIN my malaysian colleagues for lunch after the morning class together, me and my junior had lunch with them and why am I not surprised again that they ordered those FREAKING same dishes again that made me want to commit suicide.

So I was kind of happy when they ordered this:

Shandong version of Malaysian La-la. I was eating this the whole time with my boring bowl of white rice.
Poor me.
Apa boleh buat if NONE of my readers are kind enough to donate money for me to go dine in Western restaurants?

To cheer myself up a little, I went shopping briefly at the so-called high street areas near my campus and found this marvellous shop.

They sell
high graded artistic Italian styled decorating pieces for export. To have been devoided of anything visually western for 57 days, it's really an eye candy for me.
I wanted to buy everything in that shop.
I really wanted to!
I guess being dead broke has got some degree of advantages: I don't need to spend at all.

Anyhow, I started my first tuition class. Yes, I'm now officially a Kopi-O English tuition teacher in Mountain East. It's so easy, I just need to correct their pronunciation! That's it!

But, boy, I must say, contrary to general belief, the English standard here is amazingly high. Even higher than us Malaysian, ok! No exaggeration.

It was REAL fun teaching TRADITIONAL CHINESE students. Very responsive and motivated. I don't have to tell them when to clean the black board (filled with my made up bollocks) and drink is being served automatically to clear my throat. How siok!

Kids roam around town like this in Mountain East.

After an exciting afternoon teaching English for the first time, and with the few extra pocket money I've made, I've decided to treat myself a nice expensive and awesome WESTERN food.

More Mountain East kids roaming around town. So dangerous.

Tada, this is where I had my dinner!
Do you know HOW LONG I've been longing to eat some proper western food, do you?

We had some really nice salad made of mash potato and all kinds of fresh vegetable.

And ordered some steak which costed us RMB 30.

Then a Mountain East version pizza that taste nothing like an Italian pizza but it's alright because it's way much better than no pizza.

We even went for dessert after that!

What an eventful day!
