My Favourite Artist

Nai Der, my secondary school mate, forwarded me an email sometimes back with these attachements:

I was surprised that quality artwork as such get circulated round the internet... meaning, most people mostly circulate long known boring facts or HOAXES that rarely intellectually stimulating.

But this one is different. It's my cup of tea.
And I thought how can I not know where these artpieces are from.
I'm supposed to know the art world through and through.

And I thought it looked familiar, too.

So I checked my buddies, while back in Tanjong Rambutan, i.e. Goldsmiths College, from our online graduation exhibition website. And specially checked my favourite buddy: Peter Callesen.

Yo! It's his work lah!

Now... this guy is my FAVOURITE artist of all time. Not only is he a friendly and down to earth Danish, he's an outstanding artist with the kind of brain power and imagination that I can only dream of. Most importantly, his works are very Alice-In-Wonderland like. Very similar to my art pieces as well... hehe

And I'm so proud to tell you he's my course mate while back in Tanjong Rambutan.

I was there when he acted KING and constructed his dream castle

I was there when he acted the ugly duckling with oversized duck feet that couldn't get his cake

I was there when he acted jukebox

The best yet was when he tried to act sailor and sail on a handmade giant sized paper boat in Denmark
I love all his creations. I wonder if he still remember me, the fat and smiley girl back then? haha
